Moving On artwork

Lyrics

Sentimental tidal waves flood the foreshores inside me, obeying some majestic moon I sense, I feel, I know, I see visions of youth in technicolour 3D, everything just how it all used to be, but those times are gone and now I am free, afloat but adrift on a merciless sea. I’m moving on, (I’m moving on).

Sentimental suction makes it hard to leave the past, but the winds of change are blowing now, they strain my sails against my mast I look back through the lens of time, I see the reason, I hear the rhyme I understand the meaning now, the what, the where, the when, the how, (that’s why) I’m moving on, (that’s why I’m moving on).

I’ve been thinking this is overdue I think I’m ready now to push on through I think it’s time to leave the past behind I think I’ll seek so I can find.

I’m off to parts uncharted It’s time to get wholehearted My journey just got started… I’m moving on (I’m moving on, I’m moving on)

I’m off to parts uncharted It’s time to get wholehearted My journey just got started.. I’m gone.

About the song

This is a ‘breakout’ song about letting go of the past and embracing the future, whatever that may be. Sometimes it’s not easy to do (things we’ve become attached to are always the hardest to leave behind) but often it’s something we simply must do – it’s part of life’s journey.
