Glowing artwork

Lyrics

Thinking back to school when we were friends, boy we took a lot of twists and bends Different orbits and different dreams, learning what it means. Reckless abandon and lots of hope, that can be a slippery slope Different orbits and different dreams, it isn’t always what it seems. I see you in a sea of faces I swear that somehow time stands still. If fate can make these special places You know it will… I’m glowing, just knowing I’m going home with you. I’m glowing, just knowing I think you’re glowing too. Uni years and academic gowns, shared houses in old Newtown Spinning roulette wheels round and round, making DJ sounds. A chance encounter, the whole world changed and my priorities re-arranged We talk till sunrise on a blow-up bed and ever since you’ve been in my head. Now I know I’ve found my soul mate Our birthstones set in golden rings Together we will be till old age Through thick and thin and everything. I see you in a sea of faces I swear that somehow time stands still. If fate can make these special places You know it will… I’m glowing, just knowing I’m going home with you. I’m glowing, just knowing I think you’re glowing too.

About the song

I wrote this for my son and his bride on their wedding. It's a dialogue between two people who are reminiscing about how their lives came together, how glad they are that they did and how lucky they feel now that they're sharing a future with each other.
