Givers Gain
LARRIKIN LORE · Released 2 July 2024
Lyrics
I just read something and it made me smile It got me thinking for a while, a long while of how we fit in the bigger picture, a universe view. You rarely ever forget what’s most true if it’s happened to you.
A pinch of positive reinforcement goes a long way A sprinkle of encouragement can really make someone’s day A little bit of support could just restock their shelves It’s always those who bring sunshine to others can’t keep it from themselves.
An unusual phenomenon’s at play here (Givers gain) An equilibrium of karma’s on its way here (Givers gain) All the goodness that you give is gonna stay here (All of the givers gain).
About the song
This was inspired by a friend’s social media post which really resonated with me. It made me think about how good things we do for others somehow come back to us and just how important a kind word or deed can be to someone when they really need it. It’s a simple philosophy to live by – be kind to others and the universe will be kind to you.
