Get Onboard
SIGHIN' OF THE TIMES · Released 28 September 2026
Lyrics
Can you hear that locomotive sound? Can you feel that tremor in the ground? There’s a train coming down the line and it’s looking to find you, coming right up behind you. Can you hear that locomotive sound? Can you feel that tremor in the ground? There’s a train bearing down on you and you’re due to decide what you’re gonna do…
Get on board (or get out of the way)!
(Hey mister), can you hear that locomotive sound? Can you feel that tremor in the ground? (Hey sister), there’s a train coming down the line and it’s looking to find you, coming right up behind you. (Hey mister), can you hear that locomotive sound? Can you feel that tremor in the ground? (Hey sister), there’s a train bearing down on you and you’re due …so what are you gonna do?
When you look in the mirror, seems a stranger’s looking back at you Could it be any clearer? It’s time for you to do what you have to…
(Hey mister), can you hear that locomotive sound? Can you feel that tremor in the ground? (Hey sister), there’s a train bearing down on you and you’re due …so what are you gonna do?
Get on board (or get out of the way)!
About the song
There are times in life when tough decisions need to be made about who you are and what you believe in. You either board the train coming towards you and go with it or get out of its way so it can pass. You can’t just stay where you are on the tracks ignoring it, because it will run right over you.
