Believe

Held inside the vise-like grip of thought and indecision Down the dusty corridors of uncertainty Swept into an open door to where you’ve never been before Fearing what fate has in store, hearing things you can’t ignore Seeing things you never saw, seeking peace but finding war. Darlin’ you can see what you want to see, you can be what you want to be Believe in yourself and you’ll be alright.

Down well-travelled roads to destinations yet unclear It’s cold outside our comfort zones, alone After all is said and done, comes a time for everyone Feeling like your race is run, your carnival has lost its fun. A challenge comes that must be won and doubt looms like dark on a setting sun. Darlin’ you can see what you want to see, you can be what you want to be Believe in yourself and you’ll be alright.

How could you ever think that you’re not good enough? Only ‘woulda’s’ and ‘coulda’s’ and ‘shoulda’s’ would say it’s so. Don’t you forget that you’re unstoppable, you know. No setback or cul-de-sac will hold you back from where you can go…

Darlin’ you can see what you want to see, you can be what you want to be Believe in yourself and you’ll be alright.
